Richard Bollinger, Founder and CEO
Menlo Park Software was founded to help safety-critical project managers and their teams. Specifically, to enable professional grade risk management to reduce chances of recalls, and comprehensive reporting from collaboration that would simplify compliance.
Integrating risk management into projects will improve detection and handling of project risks and FMEA failure modes. Enabling 'For the Record' collaboration between team members and stakeholders will demonstrate that the design was developed in accordance with the approved design plan and §820 requirements.
The intent of the first product is not to create a revolution. Just some incremental improvements that leverage what is possible in this digital age. To integrate functions that were separate before. And, tie into existing support systems like email, text messages, report generation and digital history files in cloud storage.
As an IT project manager, the founder worked for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Also in the automotive, aerospace, DOD, and other industries.
For a number of years supervised all American Red Cross First Responder volunteers delivering emergency care at University of Michigan football games.
Menlo Park Software Principles
1. Give full consideration to each individual employee.
2. Spend a lot of time making customers happy.
3. Go the last mile to do things right.
4. Give back to communities to which we belong.
In 2012 the founder, while working and traveling, found time to write a business plan (Winning $1,000 for his New Business Idea in the Phase I GLEQ [MiQuest] Business Plan Competition, Third Place).
In 2017 all features of Menlo Park Project will be frozen. An internet version will be released that is validated, secure and meets 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. Support will be by associates bent on customer support and pride in their work.
